Tournament Outline
Tournament System
The champion pair will be determined by a single-elimination tournament.

Prior to determining the pairs, the order of selection will be decided as follows.
In the case of a tie, a drawing will be conducted. The selection order will be made public.

Ranking order: Diamond, Sapphire, Platinum, Gold, Silver - Sponsors of “BACKGAMMON FESTIVAL 2026” (with sponsorship equivalent to ¥20,000 or more)
Ranking order: In order of sponsorship date - Overseas Visitors
- BMAB Grand Masters
Ranking order: According to the listing order in “BMAB Titles” - Participants of the “7th SAIO All-Star Series 2026”
Ranking order: According to the highest JBS rating in 2025
Pairs will be finalized through nomination voting in accordance with the above selection order.

Eligibility
Eligibility is limited to the above-listed individuals eligible for pair selection.
However, players who are still competing in other events are not eligible to participate.

Registration Period
No advance registration is required.
Entry Procedure
Please gather at the “BACKGAMMON FESTIVAL” foyer (near the Information desk) at 4:30 PM on May 4, 2026.
Participation Process
Player Registration Confirmation
The draft selection will begin at 4:30 PM on May 4, 2026.
Please note that you will not be eligible to participate if you are absent.
Draft Selection
Voting will be conducted in the predetermined draft order.
Immediately after the draft is completed, the pairings will be announced.
The first round will begin as soon as the draft is completed.
Please check the pairing chart and proceed to your designated board.
Pairs who win their match must report the result to the Tournament Committee.
A pair is eliminated and dismissed upon their first loss.
Awards Ceremony
The champion pair will be honored at the awards ceremony starting at 7:00 PM on May 5, 2025. We encourage you to attend.
The runner-up pair will receive prizes; please come to the Information desk to collect them.
