The champion will be determined by a single-elimination tournament with a maximum of 64 players.

Eligibility
JBS members only.
Associate Members and Visitors may participate upon completing the Full Membership registration process.
Registration is limited to the first 64 applicants.
Players who are still competing in other events are not eligible to participate.

Registration Period
Registration will be conducted at the BACKGAMMON FESTIVAL Information Desk from 9:30 AM to 10:20 AM on May 5, 2026.
Online registration through this special website will also be available from 6:00 AM to 10:20 AM on May 5, 2026.
Entry Procedure
Please fill in your Name and Japan Open participation status on the application form, and pay the prescribed entry fee.Payment will be accepted in cash only.
Participation Process
Player Registration Confirmation
Final participants will be confirmed at 10:20 AM on May 5, 2026.
Please be sure to check that your name appears on the “BACKGAMMON FESTIVAL 2026 Last Chance” pairing page.
If your name is not listed, your entry registration has not been completed. Please contact the Tournament Organizing Committee immediately.
Event Participation
The first round is scheduled to begin at 10:30 AM on May 5, 2026.
Please check the pairing sheet and proceed to your assigned board by 10:30 AM.
Once both players are present, please begin the match.
The winner of each match must report the result to the Tournament Organizing Committee.
From the second round onward, matches should begin sequentially as soon as both players are present.
Players will be eliminated and dismissed upon incurring one loss.
Awards Ceremony
The champion will be honored at the Awards Ceremony starting at 7:00 PM on May 5, 2026. We warmly encourage your attendance.
The runner-up will receive a prize. Please come to the Information Desk.
