Tournament Outline
Tournament System
The tournament will be conducted in a two-stage format consisting of a League Stage and a Knockout Stage.
The League Stage will be held jointly with the 54th Japan Open.
League Stage
An 8-round Swiss-system tournament with elimination upon reaching three losses (with byes awarded to top-ranked players) will be held.
Among the eliminated players, the top 16 based on performance will advance to the Knockout Stage of the 2nd Tokyo Open.
Knockout Stage
The champion will be determined by a single-elimination tournament.

Clock: 18 minutes & 12 seconds delay
Eligible for JBS rating matches

Eligibility
JBS members only.
Associate Members and Visitors may participate upon completing the Full Membership registration process.
Entry Fee
Payment shall be deemed complete upon submission of the entry application for the 54th Japan Open.

Participation Process
Player Registration Confirmation
Final participants will be confirmed at approximately 10:00 PM on May 4, 2026.
Please check the pairing page of the 2nd Tokyo Open.
Please note that the semifinalists of the 5th KISEI Invitetional doubles will be excluded from eligibility.
Event Participation
Please check the pairing sheet and proceed to your assigned board at least five minutes before the scheduled match start time.
Once both players are present, please begin the match.
Players will be eliminated and dismissed upon incurring one loss.
Awards Ceremony
The champion will be honored at the Awards Ceremony starting at 7:00 PM on May 5, 2026. We warmly encourage your attendance.
Prize winners placing 4th or higher will receive awards. Please come to the Information Desk.
